Text Box: The West Orange Trail,
Central Florida’s signature trail.
Stretching almost 25 miles from the
Lake/Orange county line to Apopka,
the West Orange Trail is Central
Florida’s most well known trail.

My favorite section to Trikke, is
from milemarker 5 at Winter Garden
Station to the County Line Station
and back. Along the way you pass
through the towns of Winter Garden and Oakland.
The trail runs down the middle of the street in Winter
Garden, past many nice shops and eateries, then
through old orange groves and nice neighborhoods
on the way to Oakland. Oakland has tree-lined brick
streets and a nice fountain in the town square. A very
scenic interlude on your way to County Line Station,
and the end of your first 5 miles. A quick break and
some much needed water and your on the way back
towards Oakland and Winter Garden and the end of
the best 10 mile workout in Central Florida. If you
are still learning and are looking for a good practice
spot, the 1/2 mile to the East of Winter Garden
Station is very smooth and flat. Perfect for practice
and learning. Spend some time there and get your
Trikke legs, then tackle the ride I describe above.
You won’t be disappointed! Car’ve Diem Trikkers!
